Rep. Barry Loudermilk of Georgia has called for transparency and accountability from the United States Postal Service (USPS) regarding mail delivery breakdowns in Georgia. In a statement, Loudermilk emphasized the impact of these disruptions on constituents, stating, "All Georgians and Americans deserve to have secure access to their mail without disruption."

Concerned about the challenges faced by constituents, Loudermilk invited Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to Georgia to witness the service impacts firsthand. He also highlighted the importance of resolving these issues promptly to ensure mail delivery reliability for essential items like bills, paychecks, and medications.

In response to the disruptions, resources have been made available to assist constituents, including the USPS Service Performance Dashboard for tracking mail service performance in their area. Additionally, guidance is provided for filing taxes and voting, with a recommendation to utilize drop-box locations for ballots due to the ongoing mail disruptions.

Furthermore, Loudermilk is actively pursuing answers from Postmaster General DeJoy regarding alleged fraud at the Marietta Post Office. Alongside Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, a bipartisan inquiry was launched on March 21, 2024, with ongoing efforts to seek clarification on the matter.

For more information and updates on this issue, constituents can refer to the full text of the March 21st letter to Postmaster DeJoy.
